First, let's introduce ourselves. We are team Bat Haven. Our focus is to help preserve bats around our natural area in the reservoir. We plan to create bat houses that would work much better than conventional bat houses that are normally made. You  may ask, how does this work? Well, most conventional bat houses don't have good insulation. Normally, flocks of bats can huddle on top of each other to stay warm, but smaller groups will eventually get too cold, and die. Bats also help stabilize the mosquito population, which in Jersey City, over the summer, there becomes a surplus of mosquitoes. We plan to make these bat houses with insulation, that keeps the cold out and will give bats a nice home to stay in.
